Lt. John Keith Wells, leader of Easy Company's 3rd Platoon in the Battle of Iwo Jima, where we raised the first flag on Mount Suribachi. Keith's book, Iwo Jima: Give Me Fifty Marines Not Afraid to Die, honors the bravery of Keith's men. After the war, John Keith Wells pursued geology, always committed to resilience and leadership.
